Mady and Caydon got to meet Santa Claus today at a ward breakfast. Mady asked for a Jack In the Box and Caydon asked for a "Thomas"(As in Thomas the Train). Caydon would not sit on Santa's lap but Santa convinced him to stand next to him!

Reflections

Mykenze and Ashley entered the Photography portion of the Reflections contest at their school.

Ashley entered the beautiful picture of the clouds.

Mykenze entered the bright red bush. Mykenze ended up winning FIRST PLACE in photography!!! Her picutre will now be sent on to the Division contest.

I think they both did really great! Mom was not allowed to help them at all which just about put me in the mental institution but they both pulled it off well. They had to take the picture on their own and decide how they would present it. Good for them! Mom gets to be a crazy perfectionist sometimes.

Trip to Zions National Park September 2008

Zion's was beautiful and the kids had a lot of fun swimming at the hotel and going on hikes in the park.

Pre-school graduation

This is one that I forgot to add at the end of the school year last year! Madyson graduated from pre-school! YEA!
Watch out Kindergarten here she comes!

July was a busy birthday month for us...
Mykenze turned 11 (ouch) and Madyson turned 5 (ouch again)!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADIES!

We celebrated the 4th of July by lighting fireworks in the driveway, the kids were all afraid so they all sat in the back of the van where it was safe and watched.

After the Duluth Zoo we went to this really cool park and had a picnic and the kids took a nap! (We did really well wearing them out, I was beginning to think with their endless energy that was impossible! Doesn't look like it here does it?)

We went to the Duluth Zoo and saw all of the animals and rode the train! Caydon and his cousin Andrina were best friends, the held hands almost the entire time we were at the zoo!

We went for lots of rides on Papa's new pontoon!

Minnesota trip

We went to Minnesota this summer!

We had a lot of fun going to the beach and swimming! I thought that Madyson and Caydon looked a little like aliens with all of their swimming gear on. :0)

June 2008 Mykenze is missing.

Mykenze is missing, have you seen her?

It is usually an exciting time when Grandma and Papa come to visit! This time was a little different. It was a lot of fun while they were here, we went shopping and did lots of fun things but at the end of this particular trip they took our daughter away.... back to Minnesota! Mykenze has been talking about this for weeks, she even started packing the day she found out that they were coming to get her. I hope that she is having the time of her life! I can't think of a better trip for a 10 year old! We will be going out to get her in 2 weeks if we can hold out that long! We almost got in the car last night to go get her but Grandma and Papa may not appreciate that very much!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!!!

Ashley is now 9! We are one year away from having 2 kids in double digits! OUCH! Her favorite gift was a gift card. I think she still has $.75 left on it and is trying to find a way to spend that!

April 2008 KyLee's dream come true!

Guess who I finally saw in concert?

Hint: I have wanted to go to one of his concerts since I was 10 years old....

YEP! You guessed it RICK SPRINGFIELD!!!

It was awesome! We took the kids to Wendover and stayed in a hotel and I went to the concert.... alone...

It's ok because I got a great seat, right by the stage, it was the only one left. He came so close to me I could have touched him but it caught me so off guard that all I could do was just take pictures! Ha Ha! He spent a lot of time out in the audience. I am ready to go again!

March 2008 POTTY TRAINED!!

Check out this way cool kid! After numerous bribery attempts to take him to McDonalds to play if he would just go poopy in the potty he took us up on the deal! He did it, he just went in the bathroom one day and sat on the BIG potty and went! He came out naked and yelling "I went poopy in the potty let's go to McDonalds!" We checked and sure enough, he did it! It did not end there however, for the next few days he would go potty and ask to go to McDonalds! Of course we were so proud of him we took him! (he just wanted to play not eat) We soon got tired of going to McDonalds and let him know that we couldn't go there every time he went potty! No more dipers! Phew what a relief!!!!

March 2008 Happy Birthday Caydon!

Happy Birthday Caydon! 3yrs old, can that be right? He is growing into such a cute, big kid! He got some train things, cars and a big basketball hoop for his birthday. He can now shoot baskets better than any of his sisters!

Madyson came home from pre-school dressed as a bunny, she even showed me how they hop! Happy Easter everyone!

March 2008 Little Campers

I heard the kids moving rocks around in the back yard and this is what I saw when I went outside! They had built a little fire pit and had marshmallows on sticks and were pretending to roast them! They asked if I would like them to roast one for me. How could I resist?

February 2008 SNOW and a lot of it!

Mykenze wanted to show us how deep the snow was from the last storm. We had huge drifts in the back yard from all of the wind.
